Weapon are pleased to announce their new 2009 line up. Joining founder
members, Danny & Jeff, are bass player Gavin Cooper (Paul Di'Anno's
Battlezone/Killers/Statetrooper) and drummer Ian Sweeting (The Risen/Stone Katz).
The reason for the line-up changes are Bruce is committed to Andy Scott's
Sweet, with whom he's played with for many years. And Baz, unfortunately,
has had to retire from live work due to illness. He will, however, still be
involved in writing with Jeff & Danny. We'd like to add we have the full
blessing of both Baz & Bruce to continue what the four of us started in
1980. We'll miss them both but, in the words of Queen, "The Show Must Go
On"
Weapon debuted their new line up on Saturday 14th November 2009 at The Peel, Surrey.

Weapon have been invited to play at the Hardrock Hell VIP Party at Pontins, Prestatyn, Wales on Thursday 3rd December.

Weapon had become one of NWOBHM's biggest insider tips and after the split of the band in 1981 all the guys remained the best of friends
so much so that in the summer of 2005 they plan to get together to celebrate what would have been their 25th anniversary
by doing a few shows.

In March 1980 Danny placed an advert in Melody Maker looking for a band, at the same time Jeff
had placed one looking for a singer. Danny auditioned and was offered the job in Jeff's band,
