Weapon anno 2011
Weapon are pleased to announce their new line up. Joining founder members, Danny Hynes & Jeff Summers, are bass player Gavin Cooper (Paul Di'Anno's Battlezone/Killers/Statetrooper) and drummer Ian Sweeting (The Risen/Stone Katz). The reason for the line-up changes are Bruce Bisland is committed to Andy Scott's Sweet, with whom he's played with for many years. And Baz Downes, unfortunately, has had to retire from live work due to illness. He will, however, still be involved in writing with Jeff & Danny. We'd like to add we have the full blessing of both Baz & Bruce to continue what the four of us started in 1980. We'll miss them both but, in the words of Queen, "The Show Must Go On".
Finally on iTunes !Set The Stage Alight, 30th Anniversary Edition is now available for download on iTunes for only £0.79 per track. The band released one single "It's A Mad Mad World" b/w "Set The Stage Alight", which got to number 2 in the Heavy Metal charts. They also recorded several tracks for an album "Set The Stage Alight", which never saw the light of day until October 2003 when it was released by Zoom Club Records. Here is your chance if you missed it ! |
